Women's Seca Dry Bib

$239.00

This is not your average ski pant! We made these because we got really tired of wet chairlift butt. They are intended as wintery mix and powder day ski pant. The butt and thighs are coated for extra waterproofing. The design is simple, which allowed us to offer them at a lower price than your traditional ski pants. Disclaimer: In enhancing waterproof, we sacrificed some breathability. We do not recommend these for touring.

    • Stretchy & breathable softshell (double weave) panels at waistband, back yoke, waistband, bib top in order to maximize comfort and enhance breathability.

    • Lower leg panels: 20k/20k 3L “waterproof” membrane fabric. With mechanical stretch, C0 DWR, and circular knit backer. Circular knit backer is more breathable, soft, lightweight and packable than tricot alternatives. 3L fabric provides waterproofing in low pressure areas and enhanced breathability.

    • Abrasion resistant kick patch at inner lower leg

    • 100% waterproof PVC coated butt and thighs for extra water protection. This fabric is as waterproof as it gets!

    • 1 zippered chest pocket (this is the only pocket)

    • Traditional ski boot gator at leg opening

    • Articulated knees

    • 21 1/2” 2 way side zipper on wearers left side provides venting and barn door style opening for easy peeing.

    • Gusset

    • Adjustable plastic shoulder straps, no buckle.

    • Waistband tabs to tighten waistband for a more secure, pant like fit.

  • The fit of these pants is very "Mount Baker". Which means they are a little baggier than traditional ski pants. We advise sizing down if you prefer a trimmer fit.

  • Please read these carefully, as these bibs need some special TLC. 3L fabric requires different care from PVC-coated fabric. 3L fabric requires heat to activate the DWR after washing, while heat damages PVC coatings.

This is what I have been doing:

    • Store them ON A HANGER—not jammed into a box.

    • Wash about once a season. I usually do it at the end to get rid of the sweat and grime before storing them for the summer.

    • Use gentle, fragrance-free, and no-additives detergent. This means no softeners, no fancy stain removers, etc. Do not use powder detergent.

    • Wash with cold or warm water on a gentle cycle or hand wash.

    • Dry on low heat. I use the ‘time dry’ setting for 10-20 minutes right side out and then air dry inside out to dry the woven interior of the coated fabric.

    • You can test the DWR on the 3L fabric by dropping some water on it. If the water beads, the DWR is re-activated. If the water soaks in, dry bibs on low heat, right side out again for 10 minutes. Repeat until water beads. If you have done this several times with no beading, you must re-apply the DWR. I recommend using a DWR spray to target the 3L panels.

    • If you don’t care about the DWR, don’t dry them at all!!!

Technical Care Instructions for PVC coating:

    • Wash with cold or lukewarm water.

      • Avoid hot water as it may damage the coating.

    • Hand wash recommended

      • Gently hand wash to prevent excessive wear from machine washing.

    • No bleach or fabric softener

      • These can erode the coating and reduce durability.

    • Do not tumble dry or expose to direct sunlight

      • High temperatures can deform or crack the coating.

    • Lay flat to dry

      • Air dry in a well-ventilated area. Drying flat prevents the misshaping of fabric caused by hanging.
